About the role:

The Expense Analyst is responsible for auditing and processing expense reports within our expense platforms (e.g, Concur or Expensify). This position is also responsible for training and supporting all employees utilizing the expense platforms. In addition to the expense report processing, this person will also be the subject matter expert in reporting, expense and the overall usage of the application. Other duties will include (but are not limited to) monthly reconciliations, responding to internal inquiries, and other special expense related projects as needed.

This is a position based in Mexico.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for expense system maintenance and reporting.
• Audit and process expense reports.
• Train and support employees on the expense platforms (Concur Expensify).
• Perform monthly reconciliations and special expense related projects.
• Leverage expense data to propose improvement opportunities
• Partner closely with the Global Travel and Expense Manager to enhance TE practices
• Assist with fraud or expense audits/investigation
• Participate and drive special projects, as required, which includes working closely with various cross-functional and global teams
• Ensure the connections to/from the expense system and other systems are working properly
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

• 1-3 years of experience required; 3-5 years preferred
• Technical School/1 Year College; Associate's Degree preferred
• Prior accounts payable or expense management experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work as a team player

An ideal candidate also has:

• A technical understanding of how to configure and manage Expense Systems (or shows a willingness to learn how to administer these systems)
