Securely and compliantly storing crypto assets is core to executing on ourvision and building our brand of trust. The Institutional team builds and maintains the most secure crypto storage service in the world - storing billions of dollars worth of crypto assets for some of the biggest names in both crypto and finance. We take on hard engineering problems in cryptography, security, blockchain technology and distributed systems.

A little about our team: Coinbase Prime is a full-service prime brokerage platform with everything that institutions need to execute trades and custody assets at scale. At Coinbase Prime - Custody team, we are a lean team of individuals behind the biggest crypto custodian in the world. Institutions trust our products with safekeeping their crypto assets, and also use our product as a gateway to access crypto-native features such as staking (to earn passive yield) and governance (to shape the future of blockchain projects).

Responsibilities:

• Drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of cutting-edge crypto-native initiatives, such as launching Coinbase Prime support of new blockchains, staking, and governance features
• Translate customer needs and crypto industry trends into a coherent set of product capabilities that solves the needs and opportunities, with an understanding of constraints and continuous improvements
• Lead and align cross-functional partners such as engineering, design, sales, marketing, operations to land customer value and revenue impact
• Completely own the full lifecycle of your products, from ideation, through development, launch, adoption, and maintenance/iterations
• Understand your product’s strategic and competitive position and deliver results in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals

Requirements:

• 3+ years of product management experience with a track record of launching successful products leading a broad, cross-functional team
• Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way
• Exceptional sense of ownership, with deep analytical, prioritization, problem solving skills, and a strong bias for action
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. eg. you write clear and concise PRDs, you effectively adapt communication style to audiences – with your team, with broader organization, with executive leadership, and with customers
• Strong cross-functional relationship management skills with high empathy to understand the needs of other teams and their priorities
• Ability to succeed in a fast-­paced environment with rapid changes and context switching
• Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
• While a technical background or degree isn’t required, you are “technology-savvy” – you thrive in a technical environment, you are able to partner with engineering on complex projects and make critical decisions with customer and technical trade-offs
