Job Description

You will play a key role in the company’s hypergrowth. You have many responsibilities, such as running the entire company’s finance,  auditing, and producing critical financial reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc. You will need to familiarize yourself with the moving parts of the business operations and how to optimize them and act as a strategic player in the company. You are required to prepare reports that predict the financial performance of a company over time. Experience with SaaS companies is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Define financial operations. Using your exceptional accounting skills, you will help define processes, systems, and metrics for financial operations. This will include migrating our accounting system and working with our development teams to implement and improve our subscription management and payment systems.
• Develop internal control systems. Work with team leaders to develop controls and processes that identify and evaluate potential risks while also mitigating those risks. 
• Maintain financial integrity. Account for all movement of funds and reconcile all balances internally and externally. Complete successful audits with or without 3rd party of the company’s financial books to ensure good standing.  
• Create month-end processes. You will lead full-cycle accounting to yield accurate and timely month-end close and reporting. You will design the close accounting process and work with both internal and external partners to drive process improvement.
• Maintain financial integrity. Account for all movement of funds and reconcile all balances internally and externally. Complete successful audits with or without 3rd party of the company’s financial books to ensure good standing.
• Cross-functional business partnership. You will work closely with multiple leaders at the organization and provide meaningful recommendations that help to scale while thinking through the key accounting and reporting requirements.  It includes building and understanding variances in budgets, forecasts, and the potential to produce revenue forecasting based on historical data. You will need to manage the cash flow forecasting to optimize and meet regularly with founders.
• Global Tax Compliance (Optional).  You will help think through complex tax issues and help ensure tax compliance. Experience in the US and globally is a plus.
• Business Planning. Cash Flow management, projections, and scenario building. Budget forecasting

Position Requirements:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Philippines / USA  
• SaaS & Fintech/Payments experience
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of GAAP, excellent technical accounting skills, and strong proficiency in revenue recognition
• Keen focus on accounting processes and experience creating and implementing internal control policies
• Effective written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build a positive, team-oriented environment
• Ability to work well with a senior management team as well as mentor/lead other team members
• Comfort and experience with working in a home-based organization, multi-tasking, learning quickly, problem-solving, and rolling up your sleeves to get things done

• Being able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls/meetings/chats during weekdays working
• Quiet workspace, conducive to video meetings & calls
• Access to a reliable high-speed Internet connection; at least 25MBPS.
• Double monitors preferred but not required (if available)
