Infinite Reality, Inc, is looking for a skilled and motivated 3D Unity Game Engineer to join our growing software team and help implement our next generation of Metaverse technology. This is an excellent opportunity to apply a broad range of software development skills in a challenging problem domain while having an impact on the future of the web, live events, and entertainment.
- Work with the development team to build 3D interactive and engaging Metaverse components, features, and experiences using the Unity game engine
- Analyze performance, profile, optimize, and make recommendations
- Deliver high-quality, modular, and well-formed code components with a focus on reuse
- Extending the Unity Editor and building custom tools to automate and enable the team
- Operating autonomously, with only high-level direction
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with the Unity game engine building 3D experiences and/or games
- Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET, OOP, and design patterns
- Experience working with Unity user interface components, building layouts, and designing solutions to work on different types of screens and platforms
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and production pipelines
- Performance-minded development, code profiling and optimization skills
- Experience building platform-agnostic and data-agnostic solutions for web, desktop, and mobile targets
- Ability to embrace change while continuing to have a professional and positive attitude
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, strong focus on learning and growth mindset
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Photon multiplayer SDK and/or AWS GameLift
- An understanding of character systems, animation, and input systems
- Knowledge of web APIs such as WebGL and WebGPU
- Experience building Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality games
- Understanding shading languages such as HLSL and GLSL
- A background in video streaming, voice chat, and text chat solutions
